Atidje Aliyeva-Veli: Citizens should feel the results of European investments already in this year 2021.

It is extremely important that there is no delay in funds earmarked for socio-economic recovery due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Citizens should feel the results of the European investments already in the current year 2021. This was the emphasis of the presentation of the MEP from DPS/"Renew Europe" Atige Aliyeva-Veli during the debates during the first plenary session of the European Parliament of the year.

One of the debates was on the social and employment crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic and the EU's response.

During the discussion, Atige Aliyeva-Veli noted how important it is that the Multiannual Financial Framework and the European Recovery Plan are based on the principles of economic and territorial cohesion, solidarity, social dialogue and transformation with the aim of a just green transition.

The Bulgarian MEP emphasized the need to make full use of the provided opportunities for social investment and employment stimulation.

According to Atidje Aliyeva-Veli, national recovery and resilience plans should reflect the specific needs of the people, envisaging a set of reforms and measures to ensure social recovery from the crisis and ensure the transition to a sustainable, ecological and digital economy.
