ABOUT ME
I was born on September 18, 1981 in the city of Devin. In the European elections in May 2019, I was elected as a member of the European Parliament from the Renew Europe group (Renew Europe). I am a member ofCommittee on Agriculture and Rural Development(AGRI) and cCommittee on Employment and Social Affairs(EMPL). I am the vice-chairman ofThe delegation to the committees for parliamentary cooperation EU-Kazakhstan, EU-Kyrgyzstan, EU-Uzbekistan and EU-Tajikistan and for relations with Turkmenistan and Mongolia(DCAS). I am a member ofThe delegation to the EU-North Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee (D-MK)
EDUCATION
I have a bachelor degree in biotechnology from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski since 2003. In 2005, I graduated as a master in Industrial Biotechnologies at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. At the beginning of 2014, I defended my second master degree in Public Administration with a specialization in State Administration at the University of National and World Economy - Sofia.
EXPERIENCE
I have experience in reporting progress on the implementation of measures from the Rural Development Program (RDP), as well as in analyzing gaps and problems in its implementation in coordination with the EC. In 2007, I joined the State Fund Agriculture as an expert, where in less than 3 years I acquired the degrees of chief and senior expert. From 2011 to 2012, I successively held the following positions: head of the Milk sector, Agricultural Market Schemes department; head of the Methodology and Control sector, Negotiations on the Implementation of Rural Development Measures department; head of the Methodology and control department, Negotiations on the implementation of measures for the development of rural areas directorate in the State Fund Agriculture. In 2013, I became the deputy executive director of the State Fund Agriculture - Payment Agency, where he worked until 2019.
I have participated in many trainings and exchange of experience with other EU member countries, including France, Austria, Lithuania. I use English and Turkish as working languages, I also speak Russian and French.
